CAUSE
This problem occurs because Windows Server 2003 R2 introduces features that are
more secure than the features that are in the earlier versions of the program.
The new features may affect some of the Microsoft CRM services after Windows
Server 2003 R2 is installed.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, start the Microsoft CRM Workflow Service on the
Microsoft CRM server. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click
Run.
2. In the Services window, click Microsoft CRM Workflow
Service, and then verify the following settings:
Status: Started
Startup Type: Automatic
3 . If the Startup Type field is set to Manual, reset the
field value to Automatic. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Right-click Microsoft CRM Workflow Service. Then click
Properties.
b. On the General tab, click Automatic in the Startup type
list.
4. If the service is not already started, click Start to start
the service.
MORE INFORMATION
We recommend that you also verify the following services after you upgrade to
Windows Server 2003 R2:
Microsoft CRM Deletion Service
Microsoft CRM Bulk E-mail Service
Note By default, the Microsoft CRM Bulk E-mail Service is disabled. If you
enable this service before you upgrade to Windows Server 2003 R2, make sure
that you start the service after the upgrade is completed.
